Every session starts with the classics: everyone together, smiling, grandparents thrilled, holiday card sorted. And then the real magic begins. The hugging, the tickling, the giggling, the chaos. Kids being fully, wonderfully themselves — tantrums and all. That's not a problem. That's exactly what I'm here for. Because the moments that happen when everyone stops performing for the camera? That's where your family's story actually lives. I see it through my lens — the love, the tenderness, the everyday magic you're often too busy to notice — and I reflect it back to you in photographs you'll want to look at every single day.
Every family session starts with a phone conversation, getting to know each other before we ever pick up a camera. I want to hear your story, understand what matters to you, and make sure that by the time we meet, it feels less like a photography session and more like spending the afternoon with a friend who happens to be really good at taking photos.
Because my goal isn't just beautiful photos. It's that you look back at these images every single day and feel something wonderful— the warmth of being at home, the way your kids laughed, how parents look at their kids with love in their eyes, the fun you had during the whole process. The photos should make you feel as good as the experience.
(And yes — more than a few dads have told me they had no idea a photoshoot could actually be fun. That might be my favorite compliment.)
I don’t charge by the hour. I let my session last as long as you need it to be. (Unless we lose the sunlight!)
If your kids need a break, feed, changing, I’m all good. I’m a parent, and I know exactly how it is… No worries if you need to take time!
That said, the family session usually takes about 1-2 hours, depending on our plan, the locations, and the time we start.
You’ll get ALL photos edited (100+) and high-res downloads with print release for private usage in a private online gallery with a store feature to order whatever you like from the wonderful professional labs I personally use. I REALLY care that you have tangible products that you can enjoy for generations to come. I’m forcing you to print your photos!
