Rhyme and Prose Branding Shoot

My first photoshoot in 2021 was a collaboration with sustainable handmade high-end kid's fashion brand "Rhyme and Prose". Did I mention that they're handmade?! My daughter and I were so honored to own/wear/take photos of these beautiful wearable arts.

I tried a little bit darker and moodier for this branding photography session than my usual color tones. And oh, I LOVE it so much. It's so fun to collaborate with brands. They have visions of showing their products and searching for a photographer who can show that vision comes true. It's really uniting two(or more) people's minds into one. I'm so grateful that they trusted me with their precious products. It was a great way to go outside of my artistic vision, too. I've been wanted to try darker tones but didn't really work with my family portraits, so when the brand told me that their vision was a little darker and moodier, I was, "Yes!!". Then I got the products, and I knew how I wanted to shoot them—Thank goodness for great weather in Southern California, my daughter didn't complain too much about wearing short sleeves outside in January. It was a bit challenging to take any photos outside right now tho, she was wearing a mask in between shots, and we both forgot to remind her to take it off and took some photos with a mask on, and we had to dodge people and kept moving away from any humans.

I'm not taking any family photos inside or outside, considering the way things are right now. It makes me sad not to take any photos, so I really enjoyed this project.
